Ukhimath (Okhimath) hosts the Omkareshwar Temple, the winter seat of both Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar. When the high temples close, their utsava murtis are brought here in procession and worshipped through winter. The town offers grand views of the Chaukhamba range.
